Millarville remains a maiden after 11 starts over regulation fences, but won with plenty in hand on her return to hurdles at Kelso over Christmas and may well be up to defying a 7lb rise in the weights. Ffos Las: 2:50 Trevor Gregory – Sion Hine Handicap Hurdle 2m

Irish import Canford Light has just one completion to his name, at odds of 1/10, since joining Evan Williams in September and, as such, is the definitive ‘dark horse’. However, he was still travelling sweetly when falling three out in a better race than this at Taunton last month and could be worth chancing. He comfortably won his maiden at Kilbeggan, on his final start for Thomas Mullins, on good going and has dropped another 3lb in the weights. Selection: Canford Light (22/1 with William Hill)  

Wolverhampton: 6:20 MansionBet Best Odds Guaranteed Handicap 7f

Whittle Le Woods has run well on all three starts since joining Michael Appleby in December, winning a 0-70 contest at Chelmsford in mid-January off a 3lb lower mark. He wasn’t beaten far in this grade off his revised mark at Kempton last time and, with winning form on Tapeta, mist have evey chance of picking up the winning thread.
