The Grade 2 Mares chase sees Cheltenham 1-2 reoppose in Dinoble and BRIDES HILL (7/1) as well as the unlucky Alegorie De Vassey. I am taking a chance on Gavin Cromwell’s mare to turn the form as I simply think the price difference is too much. She will love the drying ground and won this race last year.

Another cracking rematch here with 2nd and 3rd from the Gallagher novice hurdle taking each other on again. THE YELLOW CLAY (13/8) has been underestimated all year as a Grade 1 horse and while he is favourite here at the moment, I think the money will come for Willie Mullins’ trained Final Demand. I think that horse may be better suited by a little softer ground, and while he is an exciting 3m chaser for next year, I think Gordon can get his first Grade 1 winner of the week here with the Bective Stud runner who I am hoping will drift to a bigger price on the day

Arguably the race of the week here, despite the lack of Lossiemouth. The reigning champion hurdler (Golden Ace) is 9/1 here, and while that may seem disrespectful, it is hard to argue she was the best horse in that race. State Man was running a career best before cruelly tipping up at the last and Kargese was imperious in the County Hurdle. With all that been said, we are getting CONSTITUTION HILL (6/5) at odds against and I think that if he can complete after 2 falls on his last 2 starts he will surely take all the beating, It is a race to savour but certainly not one to get carried away with betting wise.
Handicaps
NARA is interesting in her handicap chase debut with Mark Walsh in the plate at 5.25, having run a cracker in a handicap hurdle this time last year. For the same owner, KHRISMA is an interesting entry for Nicky Henderson at 7.10. She ran creditably on debut and is classy if she settles. In the same race for the same owner, Sine Qua Non is another interesting hurdling debut who ran well in a red-hot Naven bumper on race course debut.
