MARIE’S ROCK has the option of the Mares’ or the Stayers’ Hurdle, but I’m hoping she ends up in the latter. The Middleham Park eight-year-old looks sure to improve for the step up in trip and has the finishing speed that could make her difficult to beat late in the day. It looks to be a head-to-head between EPATANTE and Honeysuckle in the Mares’ Hurdle, but I rate Nicky Henderson’s nine-year-old as one of the best bets of the whole meeting. She looks to be moving better than ever this season and has a great chance here. PERSEUS WAY continues to be let down by his jumping, but the penny looked to have dropped in the Adonis at Kempton last time out before mistakes at the final two hurdles. Gary Moore’s four-year-old is sure to be a decent price for the Boodles now, though, as a result. I think Galopin Des Champs will probably win the Gold Cup but CONFLATED looks excellent each-way value for the main event. The Gordon Elliott-trained nine-year-old jumped superbly to land the Savills Chase when last seen and looks certain to give supporters a good run for their money.Free Bets for Cheltenham 2023
