Redcar: 2:10 Join Racing TV Now Handicap 1m2f

Barshaa is only 3lb higher in the weights than when winning on her handicap debut at Bath just over a fortnight ago and may be able to take another step forward here. The daughter of Dubawi has been quietly progressive since making her racecourse debut at Nottingham in May and ran well enough on heavy going, on her second start, to suggest testing conditions hold no terrors for her.

Selection: Barshaa (3/1 with William Hill)

Lingfield: 1:33 Heed Your Hunch At Betway Handicap (Div I) 6f

Queen Of Burgundy hadn’t won for more than two years prior to winning a similar race at Kempton two starts ago, but followed up, over 7 furlongs, at the Sunbury-on-Thames course last time and appears to have found her level once again. Indeed, even off a 4lb higher mark, she remains well handicapped on her old form, so a hat-trick looks with her grasp.

Selection: Queen Of Burgundy (9/4 with William Hill)

Newcastle: 3:00 Betway Handicap 1m2f

Tarroob could only finish in mid-division when stepped up to 0-95 company at York earlier this month on her return to action following a wind operation in July, but can reasonably be expected to improve for that effort. Her previous form on Tapeta, including here, bears close inspection and, back down in grade, she must surely have bright prospects.

Selection: Tarroob (7/2 with William Hill)

Exeter: 2:55 Betway Stayers’ Handicap Chase 3m

Run To Milan remains lightly raced for a 9-year-old, having had just five starts over fences and just twelve in all, and may be capable of making a winning return. The Milan gelding jumped well to win, easily, over course and distance when last seen in March and, while a 12lb rise in the weights makes life more difficult, he may yet have more to offer.

Selection: Run To Milan (5/1 with William Hill)
