Newbury: 2:30 Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle 3m

Didtheyleaveuoutto ventures beyond 2 miles 5 furlongs just the second time in his career, but has looked in need of further on both recent starts over hurdles. His recent Chepstow second already looks better in light of the performance of the fifth horse, Proschema, last Saturday, and a 5lb rise in the weight does not look insurmountable. A 10lb rise in the weights demands another step forward, but he made mincemeat of a reliable yardstick at Exeter, so further progress is by no means out of the question. Just Call Me Al won a similar race over course and distance, off a 5lb lower mark, in September and may be best forgiven a lesser effort, also over course and distance, eight days later. The handicapper may have taken a chance by easing him 2lb in the weights and, though hardly a prolific winner, may be capable of better after nearly a month off. Chelmsford: 5:25 Supporting Safer Gambling Week Handicap 5f

Topweight Show Me A Sunset has been campaigned over 6 furlongs in recent months, but has yet to run a bad race at Chelmsford, winning a novice stakes race over course and distance in January. He also finished second, beaten half a length, in a 0-85 handicap over 6 furlongs in April, off a mark of 72, so has an obvious chance off a mark of 71 in this 0-70 contest.
