1:50 Newmarket
The first of six races live on ITV is a handicap over 1m2f from Newmarket. The one for me is SEENDID (15/2) here for the William Haggas and Tom Marquand duo. He has had three runs to date, improving dramatically for each outing. He was 7th on debut when looking green and in need of the racecourse experience in a Newbury maiden. He improved to finished third at Chepstow on his next start before making all to win here at Newmarket last time out showing a will to win. I think connections have always had handicaps in mind and I think they’ll be really happy with his opening mark. He gets a lot of weight from his rivals and I think he’s open to a significant amount of improvement as he enters handicaps.2:05 York
The first of two races from York comes up at 2:05 and it is a 7f handicap. I like ANOTHER INVESTMENT (9/2) NB in this for the Niger Tinkler team. The stable are going well at present and Another Investment was a stylish winner last time out here at York when coming from off the pace to bolt up by 5L. That was a career best and the handicapper raised her 11lb. Adam Farragher takes off 3lb so he is technically 8lb higher. I don’t think that’s enough to stop him kicking on again at a track he loves.2:25 Newmarket
The 2:25 from Newmarket is up next and it is the Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes, a Group 2 race for 2 year-old fillies over 6f. Not a betting race, Star Of Mystery does look a class apart and should justify the short price in a 4 runner affair.2:40 York
The 2:40 from York is the Summer Stakes, a Group 3 contest for the fillies and mares over 6f. I expect SWINGALONG (15/8) NAP to be tough to beat here. She ran a cracker when finishing a fine third at Group 1 level over this 6f in the Commonwealth Cup last time out. She’s got a lot of speed and this York track will suit her even better than Ascot. She’ll jump out and prove very difficult to get past in my opinion. Karl Burke continues in fine fettle.3:00 Newmarket
The 3:00 contest is the bet365 trophy, a tricky handicap to solve over 1m6f. It’s AIMERIC (4/1) for me here. A progressive 3 year-old last season, he made a really encouraging start to this seasons campaign when running out an impressive winner at Doncaster at the start of June. He disappointed at Royal Ascot but he wasn’t beaten far in the end staying on to be beaten less than 4 lengths. This doesn’t look half as strong as that race and I think he can regain the winning thread.3:35 Newmarket
The final in the feature, the Group 1 Falmouth Stakes for fillies and mares over the mile. I think NASHWA (9/2) is the one in here. She is a really talented horse and is a x2 Group 1 winner so obviously belongs at this level. Things haven’t gone to plan recently and last time out she disappointed when beaten at Newcastle as a short price favourite. Her homework must have improved to be put into this Group 1 and John Gosden is a master at getting these fillies ready for the big day. Conditions may suit more than it will some of her chief rivals and she’ll sit handy when is often the place to be here at HQ.New Customer Free Bets for this Week
