2:30 Elite Status WIN (NAP) – 7/4
Given Sheikh Mohammed Obaid’s double on Tuesday and the fact he said Elite Status his best chance of the week you would have to be confident. Karl Burke is not afraid to talk about a good horse when he has one as shown with Dramatised last year. He clearly thinks a lot of Elite Status and a 5-length demolition of the National stakes is probably the best 2yo form around. But It should be a good clash with Wesley Ward’s American Rascal he must be the best-bred horse on show, out of Lady Aurelia & Curlin he was outstanding on debut.3:05 Mr Mistoffelees E/W – 40/1
I was shocked that connections decided to run in the Craven and blow what looks to have been a good handicap mark despite the rise he still looks feasibly treated. He looks a big strong galloper and was closing again at the line in the London Gold Cup when beaten 3 lengths by Bertinelli but they meet on 6lb better terms. Having been beaten by Tagabawa earlier in his career he would need some improvement to win but there’s value in the price.3:40 Infinite Cosmos WIN – 7/1
The addition of Al Asifah has added an unexpected twist, you could not be more impressed with her first two wins but her form is yet to be proven in Group company. Infinite Cosmos was beaten by subsequent Oaks winner Soul Sister in the Musidora and i expect her to improve for step up in trip given her pedigree and the way she’s gone through her races. Personally, I’m not a fan of the form Bluestocking & Warm Heart’s last race brings to the table.4:20 Yibir E/W NB – 12/1
I’m yet to be convinced that Coltrane is a true Group 1 horse, Emily Dickinson has to bounce back from a very poor performance LTO, Courage Mon Ami is very lightly raced and ‘could be anything’ but needs a lot of improvement to feature here. Broome dispatched Subjectivist when breaking his track record at Meydan but has been beaten since and neither are getting any younger. That leaves by far the classiest horse in my opinion, Yibir. He is a Breeders Cup Turf winner (Beat Broome when staying strong) and I see no reason why he won’t get this trip. He will be held up early and can unleash his speed late and if staying the distance will be hard to hold off.[single_affiliate_freespins id=”65″ ]
5:00 Ramazan E/W – 20/1
Ramazan was a regular in the big 2yo sales races last year without getting his head in-front he was always held up and finished fast and late. There’s every chance he stays a mile this season and has proved he retained his ability with a good 3rd on reappearance. He is bound to get a good pace to aim at in this big field, he will need to settle better but there will be plenty of cover to do so.5:35 Torito WIN – 11/2
The Gosden’s seem to hold the key with Torito & Epictetus heading the market, despite the latter coming from the Derby i fancy Torito to continue his upward trajectory into Group company. He was an impressive winner at Epsom and despite not being Dettori’s choice Benoit delivered him perfectly last time and can do so again. I would be most wary of the filly Caernarfon who ran with credit in the Oaks and receives an allowance against the boys.6:10 Montassib E/W – 10/1
Montassib went into the world’s notebook at Haydock when flying from a different parish, before making amends next time out at Newmarket and there’s every chance he can go in again. An unlucky favourite in this race last year he no doubt will have been aimed at this race again and yes his run-style requires plenty of luck in running but that is the case with the majority runners in big field competitive handicaps. How to get the Betfred Royal Ascot Free Bets
