The 2023 Epsom Derby is the highlight of the flat racing calendar for a lot of punters and this year’s renewal takes place on Saturday 3rd June.  The current favourite in the latest Epsom Derby betting odds is Auguste Rodin, who is trained by Aidan O’Brien and this year, the race will be run at the earlier time of 1.30pm because of the train strikes and the FA Cup final kicking off at 3pm on the same day.

Auguste Rodin is the Epsom Derby 2023 Favourite

Ahead of the Derby this weekend, the Coolmore resident Auguste Rodin has been backed into favourite and at the time of writing the best odds available are 3/1 with bet365. He has replaced ante-post favourite Military Order at the top of the betting and Paddington is third in the odds after being supplemented for the race. Auguste Rodin was last seen when producing a poor performance in the 2000 Guineas 5 weeks ago. That run left a lot to be desired but the money for the horse in the Epsom Derby odds could be a telling sign that is he fully wound up and performing well at home.  

Military Order No Longer Favourite for the Derby

Military Order was the long time Derby favourite up until earlier this week but you can now get odds of 9/2 with William Hill for the Lingfield Derby trial winner. That was an impressive display as he accelerated away from the field. You can watch a replay of that race below.
