Cheltenham Festival Tips 2022: Ruby Walsh’s 1100/1 Accumulator with NRNB for the 4 Days

The Cheltenham Festival is getting ever closer and Ruby Walsh has given his tips for the four Championship races in the week – the Champion Hurdle, Queen Mother Champion Chase, Stayers’ Hurdle, and Gold Cup. Ruby Walsh’s tips have been published on the Paddy Power blog to celebrate the firm going non-runner money back on all ante-post Cheltenham bets so if your selection doesn’t run, you get your cash back. In multiples such as lucky 15s and accumulators, that selection will be voided. You have a decision to make with betting on Cheltenham at this stage – do you use Paddy Power who are non-runner money back but the odds are a lot shorter? Or a bookies with better odds who are not NRNB? Betfred are a good middle ground here – they are 1100/1 for the accumulator (compared to best price 1312/1 but only 573/1 with Paddy Power) and they are also non-runner no bet on all Cheltenham Festival races.

Ruby Walsh’s Cheltenham Tips

Ex-jockey and now pundit Ruby Walsh has picked out his four best bets across the four Championship races at the 2022 Cheltenham Festival. Given the odds of the selections, it would be worth playing this as an each-way bet in either an accumulator, a lucky 15 or a yankee.

Champion Hurdle – APPRECIATE IT

“I’d be shocked if APPRECIATE IT  is out of the first three in the Champion Hurdle and he’s the only horse that could possibly beat Honeysuckle. ”

Champion Chase – SHISHKIN

“I think SHISHKIN will beat Willie’s two runners in Energumene and Chacun Pour Soi – and it’s going to hurt whichever way it is.”

Stayers Hurdle – SPORTING JOHN

“What Paisley Park did in the Cleeve was remarkable. As I said it wouldn’t have happened if I was riding him. I definitely would have pulled up.  Champ was disappointing. I’d be with SPORTING JOHN each-way.”

Gold Cup – AL BOUM PHOTO

“He’s won two Gold Cups and third in another and while he’s 10 years old, AL BOUM PHOTO is fresh and well and I can’t see him out of the money. ”
