Competitive action aplenty on Tuesday, with well-subscribed meetings over Jumps at Doncaster and Exeter and on the Flat at Southwell. In particular, our eye is drawn to a proven, potentially well-handicapped chaser at Exeter, who looks extraordinary value at 16/1.

Winning pointer Golden Rebel has shown progressive form over regulation fences this season and kept on strongly to win over course and distance last month. A 7lb rise in the weights makes life a little more difficult, but he remains lightly raced for an 8-year-old and may be able to take another step forward for his in-form yard. Run To Milan has won just once from eights starts over fences and finished a remote fourth in the Grand National Trial at Chepstow and the Mandarin Chase at Newbury on his last two starts. However, he is just 1lb higher in weights than when a close third in a similar race over course and distance in November and, with conditions in his favour, may be able to take advantage of this easier assignment. The Belardo filly Fearless Angel has made a bright start to her career, winning two of her first three starts, including on her Tapeta debut at Wolverhampton on Boxing Day. She tackles 6 furlongs for the first time here, but the balance of her form looks strong and she may be able to concede weight all round on her handicap debut.
