1:45 Kempton
The opener on ITV is a five runner affair known as the Magnolia Stakes. A listed contest ran over just shy of 1m2f. The one for me is FAYLAQ (11/4) or the Haggas team. He was very impressive on his only AW start here at Kempton before being slightly underwhelming on the turf for his next three runs. He’s had a nice break and now returns to the AW track at Kempton which was the scene of his best performance of his career. Haggas’ horses have started the season strongly and I think he could upset the favourite here.2:00 Doncaster
The Doncaster Mile is our first turf flat race live on ITV this year and it’s a competitive little listed contest for us to get stuck into on Saturday. The one I like is MONTATHAM NAP (7/2). He was a really progressive horse last season improving throughout. I’m happy to forgive his last run as I think he was just ready for a break. He was very consistent before that run finishing in the top two on all previous five starts. He has won first time out for the last two seasons and I think he can make it three from three on ground we know suits him well.2:15 Kempton
The 2:15 from Kempton is a 1m2f handicap knows as the Rosebery Handicap. The one for me here is AL ZARAQAAN NB (6/4). The son of Golden Hord is the likely pace angle in the race and I think he’ll get his own way in front. He’s won his last three starts all on the AW including this course and distance. Kingscote is a master on front runners and I think this horse will be tough to pass getting his own way out in front.2:35 Doncaster
Next up from Doncaster is the Spring Mile. A very competitive handicap which is the order of the day. Acquitted heads the market at around the 6/1 mark for the Hugo Palmer team. The one I’ve landed on is MOSTAWAA EW (12/1). He won well last time out at Kempton and I think a 4lb rise for that victory is more than fair. He likes to make the running and I expect De Sousa to set the fractions from the front and prove tough to pass. He’s won on the horse before under similar tactics. He’ll have no problem with the fast ground having won on it in the past and he’s a fair each way price in what looks a really open contest.2:50 Newbury
The jumps still features on ITV on Saturday and we have a tricky little novices handicap hurdle to enjoy over the 2m2f trip. Good Ball is a worthy favourite and will prove to be better than his current handicap mark in time but he’s a short priced favourite so again I’m happy to look elsewhere. The one for me is PRESS YOUR LUCK EW (14/1). He won well at Newton Abbot and Uttoxeter at the start of the season. Them two efforts where on decent ground which I feel this horse needs. Therefore, I’m happy to forgive him run at Ascot on what was very soft ground in December. He than had a small break before running a in a Jumpers Bumpers race at Kempton in February. I think that was a run to get him spot on and then last time out he was travelling strongly before coming down three out back on good ground. He would have been bang there that day and I think he’s a decent price here given conditions are ideal for him.3:10 Doncaster
The 3:10 is the feature on the day, the Lincoln handicap. Another competitive race over the mile distance in which the unexposed Godolphin runner Eastern World heads the market and I’m sure he’ll prove popular. However, I’d rather chance one at a bigger price each way in this type of race and the one I’ve landed on is DANYAH EW (12/1). He has a great win ratio winning three of his seven starts and I don’t think he’s finished improving yet. He is a course winner over 7f and this 1m trip won’t be an issue. He’s won on his seasonal debut the last seasons so obviously goes well fresh and I’d struggle to see him out the frame here.3:25 Newbury
The 3:25 race from Newbury is a race for the mares. A 2m4f hurdle contest which looks a deep contest. The one I like is ROSE OF ARCADIA (9/2). The Tizzard horses are starting to run a lot better than they have been and I think they can get back in the winners enclosure here. This horse won last time out well at Wincanton and her handicap mark of 120 is reasonable enough. The form of that race at Wincanton is working out really well with both the second and the third winning in taken fashion earlier this week. She’s still very unexposed and I think there’s more to come for her.3:45 Doncaster
The final race from Doncaster is a 6f sprint race over 6f. Fan favourite Brando heads the market but he struggles to get his head in front so I’ll have to look elsewhere given his price. The one for me is SUMMERGHAND (5/1). I believe he has his perfect conditions here and the combination of fast ground over a stiff 6f is exactly what he wants. I hope there’s a lot of pace up front as this horse will be buried in behind the pace. He’s a course and distance winner and he’s had three runs already this season on the AW. That should have him at peak fitness for this effort back on turf.7 Free £5 Bets for ITV Racing
